SEO Audit + AI Search Audit FAQs
An SEO Audit identifies the on-page and off-page SEO items which if improved, will send a stronger signal to search engines, earning you a position closer to, or at, the top of the search results. We run the core page types of a website through a set of criteria looking for opportunities from improvement, or issues, to address. These are things like Page Titles, H1, h2s, h3s, meta description, schema markup, canonicals, page speed, and much more. We cover all of these things in our audits. We deliver all our findings with actionable recommendations so you can take quick action to make improvements.
Every page send signals to search engines and AI crawlers. Those signals are prioritized based on the data architecture. Data architecture refers to how a page has been built. For example, we favor one primary header (H1), with multiple subheaders (h2s, and h3s). Much like an org chart, it helps search engines and crawler to understand and process the signals we are sending, and therefore where a website should rank.
Much like the SEO Audit, we run the core page types of a website through a set of criteria, looking for opportunities or issues to be addressed. Some of the criteria unique to an AI audit include solving specific problems or answering specific questions rather than broad questions, having the right schema markup in place, ensuring crawlers can read the content and flagging it when it is not accessible to some crawlers.
While it’s worth discussion these as separate tasks, given the popularity of AI overview and AI platforms, we conduct both an SEO and AI Audit at the same time. In short, the lines have blurred between the two, and we welcome that. We deliver SEO and AI recommendations for all of our audit work.
When there are changes we can make, we make them, but the vast majority of the changes will require someone with a Development background to make. There are some changes we can make, and when those exist we make them. We have decades of experience of working with Dev Teams to implement the changes, and we can provide those services for a reasonable fee.
